CHALLENGE & SOLUTION

Dansk El-Forbund needed a complete retake on their website to better match their users goals when visiting the website. This means a wish for a new structure, new content, new design system. The challenge for version 1 was to match users wants and needs, the business perspective and to not design a website that was too technically challenging and expensive. Cut it down to the bear minimum and design it so everyone can find what they need in a matter of seconds.

First of all, Rikke once again delivered a well-worked UX on the site. And most importantly – that it was thoroughly worked out with the customer. Therefore we avoided a lot of backtracking while specifying it. It happened i.a. because Rikke was proactive in bringing the customer into the process from the very beginning. Rikke also took great responsibility for maintaining the level of the UX so that we could ensure that we met everything the customer wanted.

Rikkes work largely met our expectations!

KICKING OFF WITH PRIORITIES

We kicked off the project with a productive workshop where we collaborated closely with Dansk El-forbund to define priorities for the initial two sprints, ensuring alignment on essential pages and functionalities.

FAST WIREFRAMING FOR INSTANT FEEDBACK

To make room for continuous improvement, rapid wireframing allowed us to receive instant feedback from Dansk El-forbund. Co-designing and adjusting functionalities together ensured a unified vision.

ITERATIVE DESIGN TO REFINE CONCEPTS

Iterative design played a key role in refining wireframes to match the client's vision and requirements. Open discussions with the client and developers enabled us to address complexities and align with the budget constraints.

If any concerns were risen with either complexity, time etc. I would discuss this with the client, agreeing on another user flow or design that wouldn't be too complex – Or other times we choose to continue with the flow despite a higher technical complexity, as this would serve a far greater user experience.

SEAMLESS COLLABORATION AND HANDOVER

Throughout the project, a close collaboration between UX, UI, frontend, and backend teams minimized frictions, resulting in a smooth handover process.

The project spanned two months, culminating in a comprehensive Figma document that provided clear visuals and detailed descriptions for each component and interaction. This resource facilitated the UI designer and developers' work for future iterations.
